claim that Family Tree Legends, is the first truly Internet-intelligent
genealogy application and it has recently been upgraded. There
is a demo that takes you through all the features of this programme, it cannot
be downloaded to try before you buy however.

GENERATIONS
( Reunion) v 8.5
This
programme started life as Reunion from Leister Productions it was then sold to
Sierra who renamed it Generations, in recent years a UK version of the programme
has been produced however Sierra have now sold out to the owners of Family Tree
Maker in late 2002 Following
the purchase of Family Tree Maker this programme appears to have disappeared
from the internet and appears no longer available.
Having
said that version 8.5 was launched in March 2003 but does appear to offer any
great advances it is possible that the new owners will leave this as a budget
price programme. In early 2003 ownership of this and Family Tree Maker passed to
MyFamily.com,inc however it now appears under the label of Broderbund a division
of Riverdeep as is Family Tree Maker although this is now their budget programme.
It
continues to have many UK supporters.

you have windows XP you need version 8.5 to make the programme work

All I have managed to establish is that this programme was launched

Probably the best chart drawing programme
available and a home grown programme -----This is a chart drawing programme only
but it will work with any genealogy programme via a Gedcom file. There are two
versions one of which is specifically designed to work with Legacy which does
not need the Gedcom link as it accesses your data file. There is a downloadable
Shareware version that you can try. The
only real limit to this programme is your imagination as far as layout is
concerned

is a specific version to work with Legacy which allows you to do updates direct
